National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
The Lincoln Middle School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an honorary scholastic and service organization. In the past, LMS NJHS students have completed more than 1500 total community service hours each year!

MEMBERSHIP Student membership is based on the maintenance of a 3.3 grade point average, the desire to do community service, and the demonstration of the principles of scholarship, service, citizenship, leadership, and character. ACTIVITIES / COMMUNITY SERVICE LOG LINK NJHS members must complete 4 hours of community service each semester for a total of 8 hours per school year. Members must keep a signed log for each semester of community service. Community service logs are available in the counseling office or can be downloaded here. Logs should be placed in Ms. Greenfield's mailbox in Lincoln's main office. APPLICATION / SPRING 2026 ONLINE APPLICATION LINK - DUE JANUARY 30th New applicants may apply for the spring semester based on their fall semester grades. The application must be accessed and completed by the student with their smmk12 account. (Current NJHS members do not reapply.) MANDATORY NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION MEETING Once membership is approved, new NJHS members must attend one orientation meeting: Fall options: October 28th, 29th, or 30th (3:10 pm-3:30 pm in Room 262) Spring options: February 3rd, 4th, or 5th (3:10 pm-3:30 pm in Room 262) CERTIFICATES & END OF THE YEAR PARTY Students who complete their community service hours and maintain a 3.3-grade point average will receive an official certificate of completion and be invited to attend an end-of-the-year party. 2025-2026 IMPORTANT DATES October 6: Fall applications available for 7th & 8th grade (last year's members do not need to reapply) October 24: Fall applications due (new 7th & 8th grade applicants only) October 27: Acceptances will be sent to smmk12 email accounts October 28-30: Fall orientation meeting for new members, select one (room 262 from 3:10-3:30) January 12: Spring applications available for 6th-8th grade (new applicants only) January 30: Fall semester service logs due (4 hours) to Ms. Greenfield's mailbox in the main office January 30: Spring applications due (new applicants only) February 2: Acceptances will be sent to smmk12 email accounts February 3-5: Spring orientation meeting for new members, select one (room 262 from 3:10-3:30) May 8: Spring semester service logs due (4 hours) to Ms. Greenfield's mailbox in the main office May 29: End of the year Ice Cream Social & certificates *Questions?
